Tell us a little about yourself. I’m a chemical engineer and work in the Santa Catarina Gas Company in the gas technology department. In the past I always be used to work in a large or small industries in the south region state, nowadays I have lived in Florianópolis since 2009. I’m very enthusiastic with my job and the new opportunities that my family and I can find here in Florianópolis, although it’s bigger and very more hectic than my hometown Tubarão. I’m married and have a six years old boy who studies in a little school not much far from our house. My wife would like to have another baby in soon.

Why are you studying English? I think it is very important for my profession and my studies. Often I take part in business meeting or international congress with foreigners people like Japanese, German and American. So, I thought that I can’t keep on with my old and average English dialogs.

What is most difficult for you in English? My main difficult is to understand what people talk in conversation.

Where would you like to be in 10 years? Why? Maybe right here in Florianópolis, but with much more experience in my job, another child and my doctorade post degree finished.

What do you like most about your Total English classes? Well, I think that there are two efficient and fast possibilities to learn English. One is living in English Languages countries, the another one is learn with home-born peoples.

What advice can you offer to other English students from your experience? To learn English is really very important for your personal and professional life. Mostly you can’t upgrade your career if you don’t dominate the English language. Moreover you will spread your wings for new knowledge.
